My top drawer is bursting with goodness! Let’s get into it.
Finding the right beauty products is everything! When you feel beautiful, you feel good. You know what it means to hunt for that product and have it complete your skincare routine.
You got lucky, because these are the skincare products I reach for over and over again.
I’m not sure how I lived without these but I don’t want to ever know (cliche but oh, soo true).
Jumping right in, it’s my Vitamin C serum. This thing is liquid gold! Yes, I said it!
1. Vitamin C Serum
Ever since I discovered Vitamin C, my life skin has not been the same. Listen, I ran out of this thing for 2 weeks. Just 2 weeks, and my face started acting up! It wasn’t breaking out, but I could tell my skin wasn’t silky smooth as always and it lost that glow. I highly recommend adding Vitamin C to your skincare routine. It’s a game changer that isn’t nearly as popular as a lot of the skincare actives we hear of, I’m not sure why.
Vitamin C clears up your skin, improves texture and reduces the appearance of dark spots / hyperpigmentation. Get it and see how your skin transforms.
2. Fenty Lip Oil
Listen, Rihanna knows what she’s doing when it comes to lip scents. Every lip product from Fenty leaves me mesmerized! I spend at least 30 seconds just taking in the beautiful scent before remembering what I needed to use it for. This Barbados Cherry flavored lip oil is everything! It finished within a month and I topped it up instantly. It’s on sale today, so get it! It smells so good and leaves your lips feeling plump, shiny and it’s not sticky. takes a break to apply the Black Cherry one.
One thing to note is that these lip oils are clear regardless of the “color” you choose. It’s like your lips but better.
3. Gloss Bomb Stix
Listen! Rihanna snapped! I don’t know what she put in this thing but for the first few weeks I had this Gloss Bomb Stix in Is it Fussy, none of my other lip products mattered. And for the first time ever, I actually finished a lipstick. I was so proud of myself. I want to get it in the rose mauve shade, Riri. Thankfully, Fenty is having a sale on Sephora for Black Friday so you know I’m stocking up!

4. Fenty Fat Water
Listen!!!! My skincare starts with this fat water! I look forward to it every morning, drenching my skin in the cooling suppleness of this water that moves on your palm but doesn’t fall off. It’s literally ingredient rich and soooo hydrating! My favorite part of my mornings is slowing down with deep breaths as I pat this onto my skin. Gold!!!
5. Fenty Clay Mask
I grew up using clay on my face as a mask. So to have a slice of home in a bottle feels like everything to me. This face scrub is so good on my skin and the charcoal bits do the little extra you need. Having a scrub with ingredients I personally recognize and know are organic is a game changer for me. I love rubbing this into my skin and once I wash off, revealing that gentle, soft skin underneath is my heaven on earth!
Miss Rih, I promise you don’t ever have to go back to music. Stay right where you are because you are dishing out these beauty products and my skin is on ten!
don’t fight me, guys. I have accepted her genius in beauty. keep bumping her old albums 😉

6. Laneige Lip Mask
The girls were not lying! I always saw this thing and even included in gift guides back then. But I never got it for myself. It was one of those products I liked to look at. I still didn’t take the plunge until it was on offer at Sephora as one of the products I could redeem my points for. So I tried it and let me tell you again, the girls did not lie! This thing did wonders for my lips. Every night, I would slap it on before I crawl into bed and yes you guessed it, the first 15 seconds were spent sniffing the amazing Berry scent. And then I ran out.
I first saw the set of minis on Amazon some weeks ago then found it on Sephora. I will be topping up with these minis. It comes with a scooper too because that was the only thing I didn’t like, digging my nails in. So I need that mini set stat! (as the kids say).

7. My Fave Moisturizer
Should I call this my fave? Hear me out.
I recently got this moisturizer after having a glowy summer. I needed something that was moisturizing yet lightweight. I’m used to the Kiehl’s moisturizer which I’ve known and loved for over a year. It’s a gel moisturizer and my skin loves it, that cooling feeling—I don’t like cream, heavy moisturizers. I wanted to try something new and got the moisturizer you will see next but after it ran out, I decided to find something new. You can say I was on a hunt to find the perfect moisturizer.
I tried this in store, together with the gel version in Cherry Blossom jelly to compare and this left my skin visibly glowy. It fit the bill perfectly but I wasn’t sure because I had not really heard of this brand before. Once my Laneige mini water bank ran out, I had to go back for it. I started hearing good things about this brand and the reviews confirmed what I had felt in store. Honestly, the Laneige was a heavy moisturizer for me, I will never try it again but this one? This one is so lightweight and perfect! I’m thinking of buying the gel version for nights.
I honestly think it’s worth getting the set instead. It contains this full size with 2 other products – sunscreen and HA serum and it’s less than the price of the moisturizer alone (which isn’t much to begin with). All around an amazing brand I will be looking into. I also have my eyes on their clay mask.

8. Summer Fridays Dewy Moisturizer
For everyone that complimented me this summer on how my skin was glowy, this was my secret! Listennnnnnn! I glowed!!! This thing makes you glow whether your skin likes it or not. I loved using this right after my Vitamin C which is my skincare routine—Fenty fat water, then Vit C then this baby or whatever moisturizer I’m using at the moment.
I loved it all summer, but I couldn’t wait for it to finish. If you read above, you will see why. Gel moisturizer is my default. It’s what my skin needs. Anything heavier and I’m uncomfortable. This one slightly pushed that bound plus it was summer, so I treasured the glow. Once it ran out, I was excited to find other new moisturizers like I shared in the previous one.
So, get this for the glow. If you like cream moisturizers, this will be your holy grail.

If you’re not sure, get the mini. I always start with minis when available to try out a new product.
9. Sunscreen – Supergoop
Please use sunscreen. Whether it’s summer or winter, please use sunscreen.
I only started using sunscreen… you know what? I won’t tell you when. I’m ashamed! But ever since I got on it, I haven’t stopped. I saw the difference in my face within a week! So throughout winter, spring, summer, I kept on with this SPF 40 sunscreen and together with a good regimen, my skin transformed.
I specially love this one because it has no tint and just goes on clear. I personally don’t have the patience or time to rub and rub, that’s what put me off sunscreen all those years—couldn’t stand the white cast everyone complained of. This and Black Girl Sunscreen are my top recommended ones. I’m not even interested in any kind of sunscreen with a tint–Supergoop has one but that isn’t for me. Give me something clear and we’re good to go!
What I’m thinking of getting next is the powder one (SPF 35) or spray to use on top of makeup to top-up throughout the day. I’m not that dedicated yet. I use this as the last step in my skincare routine.

10. Laneige Water Sleeping Mask
I enjoyed using this but somehow I didn’t use it often enough? I just think I’m lazier with skincare at night and can’t be bothered on some days. Like I shared earlier, I will be grabbing the Innis free Gel moisturizer for nights or this.
It’s more of a mask than a moisturizer and you’re meant to use it a few times a week versus everyday (you could), but I got tired of the texture on those nights when I just wanted a lightweight regular watery-feel slap on moisturizer. So I might top this up once I run out (I have one scoop left I’ve been saving). Then I’ll need to get a go-to moisturizer for nights to fully enjoy this. It left my face feeling so good every morning because of the Niacinamide and Squalane in it. Eh! I liked it. It was more than great, but I just need to revise my regimen to fully appreciate it.
Alright, that’s it, that’s all the skincare I’m loving right now. I tried not to add lots of makeup and body/self-care products just yet because that deserves a separate post. Can’t wait to share all these with you.
Hope you loved this post and as always, these are my 100% opinions of these products. I bought them with my money, nothing was gifted. Enjoy! Happy Black Friday!
